A Game jam Game where the theme was Physics. I was part of a 2 person team and had 5 days to create a gameplay loop and implement all systems from scratch.

Physics-Based gameplay

Blob Olympics has custom ragdolls created in Unreal Engine 4 that make up the foundations of the physics gameplay. In the Hurdles event, the character has to run a lap in the fastest time using the boost and slow pads to their advantage. These pads have custom physics materials that the character uses a downwards line trace to identify. The Hammer Yeet event also makes use of line traces to calculate the distance the character travels after hitting the hammer. This project had a lot of inter-level variable communications as well as persistent variables to make the local turn-based multiplayer work.
